Our mission is to give homeless animals a second chance through our rescue, shelter, and adoption programs
Description:
Homeward Pet is the largest, nonprofit no-kill animal shelter in the Seattle area. We take in adoptable owner surrendered cats and dogs and provide care for them until permanent new homes can be found. In conjunction with our local animal shelters, we rescue animals who might otherwise not have a chance of survival. All of our animals are spayed/neutered and are current on their vaccinations prior to being put up for adoption.
History:
Homeward Pet Adoption Center was founded in 1990 as "Hooterville Safehaus" to provide a safe haven for orphaned cats and dogs and to educate the public about the need to spay and neuter their pets. In 2002 we changed our name to Homeward Pet Adoption Center. We are a no-kill, nonprofit animal shelter, which means we are a 501(c)(3) charity.
