Description:
ICHS is a community-based health care center committed to providing culturally and linguistically appropriate accessible, affordable primary care and dental services to Asian and Pacific Islanders translated in 14 languages. ICHS provides education, prevention and early intervention services for all ages- infant care, child immunization, family planning, nutrition, dental care promotion and social and mental health services that can be accessed at our two primary sites- International District Clinic and Holly Park Medical and Dental Clinic.

History:
ICHS was established in 1975 to provide a comprehensive range of primary health care services for the low-income residents of the International District and other limited- or non-English speaking Asian and Pacific Islanders (API) of Seattle and King County. Over ICHS' 28-year history, it has developed into one of the Pacific Northwest's preeminent community health care organizations providing primary health care and dental services to the API community. Our International District Clinic was the first of its kind in the nation serving a diverse API population at one site. In 1996, ICHS opened the Holly Park Medical and Dental Clinic in South Seattle. In that same year, Chinese Traditional Medicine was added to its offerings in the International District. In mid-1998, ICHS, along with other health and human services agencies, moved to expanded space at the International District Village Square, and dental services were initiated.
