The Right Brain Center for the Arts
Last updated on February 6, 2008

Logo

The Right Brain Center for the Arts encourages imagination to shape reality. We do this by using artistic expression as a tool for the development of young people into creative, confident, and well rounded individuals.

Description:
The Right Brain is a digital arts resource organization specifically targeting Seattle’s youth and Youth organizations. We offer programming, equipment and teachers to youth organizations unable to offer digital arts programs because of limitations such as lack of space, equipment or expertise. Through committed and experienced staff, volunteers and industry professionals we are able to reach out to many different groups and organizations throughout the Greater Seattle area. The Right Brain also provides vocational training to youth interested in pursuing a career in digital media.

History:
The Right Brain Center for the Arts is the brainchild of Vallan Seid. Vallan has worked for the YMCA for 12 years, and in that time has been very successful in creating Arts programs for disadvantaged youth. Most recently, as Senior Director of the High Point YMCA, Vallan created and funded programs in music, digital photography, dance and more. The Right Brain Center for the Arts strives to continue and build upon this concept, focusing on the Digital Arts exclusively.
