Germaine Lawrence provides the highest quality residential treatment services in New England for adolescent girls ages 11-18 who are experiencing family, school and social difficulties. We serve girls with a range of behaviors, such as school failure, eating disorders, drug or alcohol abuse, suicide attempts, cutting, sexually acting out, running away or aggression.
Description:
Germaine Lawrence is located in Arlington Heights and serves 100 girls at a time in six custom-designed treatment centers. Each treatment center has a clinical specialty and girls are placed in the center that best fits their primary need. Our treatment centers are self-contained - girls eat, sleep, go to class, attend group therapy and engage in recreational activities with the other girls in their program. Last year, 82% of our students successfully completed their treatment goals and returned to their families or communities.
History:
Germaine Lawrence is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
