Hickman House provides a safe place and sufficient time after emergency housing for domestic violence survivors to begin the healing process and gather resources toward becoming self sufficient.
Description:
Hickman House is a ten unit apartment building for women with children who have become homeless as a result of domestic violence. We provide transitional housing and comprehensive services for both the adults and their children. There are staff offices and a children's playroom on site.
History:
Hickman House was established in 1988 to provide the additional time and supportive services that abused women and their children needed after 14-30 days in an emergency shelter.
