Kirkland Dance Center was founded in 2002. Our mission is to enrich the community by providing dance education and quality instruction to all ages, in all walks of life.
Description:
Our community enrichment will focus on making our classes accessible to all children with a desire to dance. This will be accomplished through the development of a scholarship program targeting low-income or at-risk children as well as creating programs for special needs children. We will produce a variety of shows and make them available to a diverse audience in hopes of increasing the appreciation and education of dance. Kirkland Dance Center will promote and support a wide range of dance forms and offer a positive environment where dancers will be inspired to learn and develop their creative talents through movement and music.
History:
Kirkland Dance Center was founded in 2002. We spent the first two years trying to stay afloat. Our board of directors and volunteers have successfully brought us through the difficult start up phase and we are now ready to explore more ways of being involved in our community and providing support services.
