GriefWorks is a nonprofit grief center located in Auburn, WA. The mission of GriefWorks is to serve as a bereavement resource providing education and support for people grieving a death or seeking to understand the grief process. We envision a world where grieving people are supported in compassion and companionship as they journey through their unique loss experiences.
Description:
GriefWorks provides support groups and individual sessions for grieving children, teenagers, adults and families. Many of the families served are dealing with sudden and/or traumatic losses.
History:
GriefWorks was founded in 1998 by Nanette Flynn and Mel Erickson. Since its founding, GriefWorks has served over 9,000 children, teens and adults.
