Our mission: Building caring confident youth and providing opportunities for campers to develop leadership skills. Camp Ketcha youth achieve this through expanding friendship circles, learning new skills, building greater self-awareness and participating in unique camp experiences, focusing on interaction with nature and outdoor fun.

Description:
Camp Ketcha day camp offers programs for youth ages 4-15. Programs areas include swimming, archery, outdoor living skills, arts & crafts, environmental education, sports, ropes course, computer lab and a rotating program that includes martial arts, science experiments and drama. We offer three specialty camps, snorkeling camp, pedal & paddle and horsemanship. Camp Ketcha also offers a Counselor In Training program for 13.5 to 15 year-olds.

We have a spectacular site to host Camp Ketcha summer camps. Our facility encompasses 133 acres of rolling meadow and woodlands. We have a sandy beach on a private pond, swimming pool, archery range, environmental education center, hiking trails, high/low ropes course, horseback riding ring, classrooms, large indoor spaces, playground and sports fields.

History:
Camp Fire was founded in 1910 by Luther Gulick, M.D., and his wife, Charlotte Gulick, as the first nonsectarian organization for girls in the United States. In 1975, membership was expanded to include boys. Headquartered in Kansas City, Mo., Camp Fire USA currently serves 735,000 children and youth annually.

Camp Fire Maine has served youth for 94 consecutive years. Camp Ketcha in Scarborough is a 365 day a year community recreational center for all aged and groups.
