Help strengthen farmers markets across the state by contributing your time & expertise as a board member of the WA State Farmers Market Association (WSFMA). We're seeking candidates who have experience in one or more of the following areas to complete our 8-member board team:
- FARMER (retired or active) WHO HAS SOLD AT FARMERS MARKET(S) – There can't be successful farmers markets without successful farmers. Help us represent farmer vendor needs and interests.
- SERVED ON THE BOARD OF A PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION – Bring your knowledge & experience with a successful association to help us continue to shape ours.
- GRANT WRITING– Help us grow our funding base and broaden our services.
- LEGAL EXPERTISE in liability, non-profit organizations, or trade associations

Three board members will be elected at the 2008 Annual Conference on Sunday, January 27, 2008 in Ellensburg. Candidates are strongly encouraged to present themselves to the membership on this day. This position is unpaid and requires a 3-year commitment. Our fun and collaborative board team contributes an average of 8-10 hrs/month, including rotating monthly in-person and phone board meetings. |
