Board of Directors – April, 2008 Richard Baker, M.D., President
- Family physician who focuses on prevention, wellness promotion and “wholistic” health.
Penny Bolton, Secretary - Is a real estate agent with Windermere, has volunteered for many years as a King County Master Gardener, was the chair of the TOPS Site Council (an alternative Seattle Public School) for two terms as well as Fund Development chair for two years, and is currently involved in a neighborhood organizing project near the Arboretum. Her focus on the Elderwise board has been financial marketing and business management issues.
Jeannette Franks, Ph.D. _ Is a gerontologist and teaches ethics, grief and loss, and courses on geriatrics and gerontology for the University of Washington. She is chair of the Kitsap County Advisory Council on Aging, is a board member of the Bainbridge Health, Housing, and Human Services Council, and volunteers on various age-related committees in King and Kitsap counties
Barbara Green
- Has worked with older adults in a variety of community and residential settings and has expertise in dementia care and family caregiving. Presently, she works with the Washington Adult Day Service (WADSA) as Training Coordinator.
John O’Connor, Esq.
- Is an attorney and book publisher (Eastland Press) who lives in Seattle.
Andrew Schmechel
- Works in a dementia facility which operates six adult family homes in the north Seattle neighborhood of Pinehurst.
Lauri Warfield Larson, O.T.R., N.H.A Health Care Administrator
- Currently the Health Services Administrator at Horizon House, a large assisted living and continuing care retirement community in Seattle.

Sandy Sabersky, M.S.P.T. Executive Director Has a Masters Degree in physical therapy and is a certified Sage-ing® Leader. She has over twenty five years experience working with seniors in a variety of eldercare settings. She is the founder of Elderwise and is currently the Executive Director.
