Position title: Board Member
Description: Bridge Ministries is seeking several new board members all possessing these qualities: a Christian Commitment, a passion for Bridge's ministry, a spirit of compassion and inclusion for persons who are marginalized - particularly persons with disabilities, donor experience, willingness to serve as an ambassador for Bridge, team player, and a willingness to promote involvement with Bridge (volunteer and giving opportunities) to personal sphere of influence.
Along with the qualities listed above, Bridge Ministries is especially looking for individuals who have expertise in one or more of the following areas: organizational management, marketing/PR, fundraising, community building with boards, as well as a former ED who has worked with a marginalized population.
Type of board position: Board of Directors
The process for selecting or nominating members: A potential board candidate will first meet with a representative from the Board Nominating Committee to discuss the candidate's skills and background, then the candidate has the opportunity to attend several Bridge Ministries events to get a flavor of the Ministry. Next, the candidate will meet with the Board President and Executive Director, fill out an application, three reference checks, and a DSHS background check. If all of the references and the DSHS background check are clear the candidate will meet with and then be voted on by the Board.
