Position title: Governing Board Member
Description: Page Ahead board members are passionate about children's literacy. They are an active group of people who provide vision for program development, assist with fundraising, support program events, provide contacts, negotiate new relationships, and recruit new board members. In addition, each Page Ahead board member serves on one of the following committees: Program, Finance, Marketing and Development, Technology, and Events. Committees consist of board and community members who are active and may have duties outside of regular meetings. Board meetings are the second Thursday of each month from noon to 1:30 in downtown Seattle. Members living outside of King County may call into the monthly meetings but are required to personally attend one meeting per quarter. Committee meeting times and locations vary. The average monthly commitment is 4-6 hours.
Board Term: 3 years, followed by annual renewals for a total of six years.
