Join EarthCorps, the Green Seattle Partnership, Seattle University and Seattle Parks and Recreation in our ongoing efforts to restore Cheasty Greenspace. Volunteers will be performing maintenance on restoration sites and creating "survival rings" around trees in this 43 acre south Seattle greenspace. Other work may include non-native plant removal or woodchip application.
Court-ordered community service volunteers are accepted. Youth volunteers are welcome. Volunteer with your family.
EarthCorps provides gloves, tools, and light snacks. We work rain or shine, so please come dressed for the weather. We recommend that you wear long pants, bring a long sleeved shirt, and wear sturdy closed toe shoes. We will be taking a 20 minute break at noon, so if you'd like to bring a lunch feel free. The minimum age for this opportunity is 5 years and older.
