You can help the the trails in Seattle's Urban forests, by volunteering with the trails program. Volunteers will help by removing non-native plants and replacing them with great natives. We will also reconstruct/restore the trail using modern and time tested approaches to create beautiful, long lasting trails that are a pleasure to hike. Volunteers will work as a team to accomplish all of these tasks and have a great time getting to know seattle's parks. A great way to complete service hours requirements! Court-ordered community service volunteers are accepted. Youth volunteers are welcome. This is a service-learning opportunity. Volunteer with your family.
Volunteers must wear appropriate clothing and shoes for being in the forest and using hand tools. The minimum age for this opportunity is 14 years and older.
