Walk to D'Feet ALS (Lou Gehrig Disease) Committee Chairs needed

We are looking for someone to provide leadership in planning for our event to be held in the Fall of 2009. This is a great opportunity for a group of individuals to take on for outreach to our community. Opportunities for other chairpersons besides those listed below are available also, please contact Candi at 425-656-1650 for further information.

We are looking for someone with talent and the connections to help us provide an entertaining atmosphere during our Walk. Our goal is to provide an energetic and upbeat environment to our patients, families and community members that will be participating in this well loved and successful event.

Entertainment Chair (ALSA volunteer)

• Creates an exciting atmosphere for the day of walk utilizing entertainers, decorations, and children's activities.

• Secures donated entertainment for the walk.

• Works with entertainers to discern electrical and staging needs.

• Works in partnership with Logistics Chair and staff to meet entertainers' needs.

Food and Beverage Chair

. Secures coffee and snacks for both volunteers and walkers by donation from local stores. ALSA staff will assist as needed.
. Assists ALSA staff in donations for water for walkers.
. Sets up area for food and coffee for prewalk enjoyment.
. Assists with water distribution to rest stops.

Court-ordered community service volunteers are accepted. Youth volunteers are welcome. Volunteer with your family.

With this position, you will work closely with our staff to review the talents and resources that you will be bringing to the event to ensure quality and appropriateness of this fun, family focused event.
We look forward to your energy and commitment. The minimum age for this opportunity is 13 years old.
