Adoption Counselor in Kirkland No-kill Cat Shelter

Would you like to help homeless cats find their forever homes? MEOW Cat Rescue is looking for Adoption Counselors to help pair kitties with the right adoptive people.
Additional tasks may include light cleaning, feeding cats, grooming cats, laundry, playing with kittens, filing.
Volunteers typically come in once a week during shelter business hours (check our website for hours).

Court-ordered community service volunteers are accepted.

All training is provided, although a good attitude and the ability to work with many different types of people in an often busy environment is a plus.
Volunteers at the shelter must be at least 18 years old.

 From I-5: Take 520 East exit (Bellevue/Kirkland). Take Lake Washington Blvd NE exit towards Kirkland. Follow for approximately 1 mile. When road forks, veer right onto Lakeview Drive. Lakeview Drive becomes NE 68th St. Just past the railroad bridge, turn left into Houghton Village (PCC Market). MEOW is at the back of the building on the left, under a bright red awning. From I-405 North: Take Exit #17, NE 70th Place. Turn left off exit, then left again at light onto NE 70th Place. 70th curves down the hill and becomes NE 68th St. Pass through the intersection at 6th Street. Turn right into Houghton Village just PAST the PCC sign. MEOW is at the back of the building on the left, under a bright red awning. From I-405 South: Take Exit #17, NE 70th Place.
