For the last 35 years we have been sending books to incarcerated individuals around the country. Help us by coming to a volunteer night and answering some requests, or wrap some packages, or shelve book donations. If you like us, you could also think about fundraising and book acquisition. Being able to read is pretty essential. A familiarity with authors and subjects can be helpful. It also helps to be a little open-minded! This opportunity is sponsored by: Books To Prisoners
We need volunteers who are free at these times

Important things to know about getting into the building:
1) If you arrive before 8pm, you can enter at the main door on 15th Ave NE. From there you can go up one flight of stairs or take the elevator (to level 2 even though we are located in room 301) and follow the signs to our room.
2) If you arrive after 8pm the main door will be locked and you will need to call us to let you in. The phone number is 206-731-9471. If we do not answer do not leave a message on this phone, call back again, as we do not check these messages often. |
