Help save lives by assembling Vials of L.I.F.E.
Last updated on May 8, 2008
Logo

The Medic One Foundation needs your help in assembling Vial of L.I.F.E. kits in preparation for our launch of this new community service program.

The Vial of L.I.F.E. kit offers a simple way for emergency medical services personnel to access an individual's medical information if he or she is unconscious or is otherwise unable to offer medical history. Having a "vial" or packet of information in a handy pre-designated place in one's home that firefighters and paramedics can easily access can be essential in providing more effective emergency care.

The Vial of L.I.F.E. kit includes:

  1. Kit Instructions
  2. A medical information sheet for participants to complete that identifies medications taken, allergies to medications, contact information for next-of-kin, and primary care information
  3. A vial to store the fact sheet in the refrigerator
  4. A magnet for the refrigerator and a sticker for the front door or window to identify program participants

We need as much help as possible in assembling 12,000 kits and hope you can set aside some time to help out. Please let us know if and when you can volunteer. Thank you!

No training required. Job entails labeling vials, folding paper and inserting paper, magnets and stickers into vials.
