 Volunteer positions are available with the Consumer Protection Division of the Washington State Attorney General's Office (also educational internships and work study positions). We require individuals who are highly motivated and enjoy working with the public. Substantive training provided. Did you know that with the help of our team of volunteers and work-study students the Attorney General's Consumer Resource Centers handles approximately 20,000 citizen complaints and more than 180,000 consumer calls every year? We need your help! We are always looking for volunteers to assist the public with inquiries and complaints about unfair and deceptive business practices. Job responsibilities will include providing consumer information and referrals to the public; providing informal mediation between consumers and businesses; and educating consumers about how to avoid becoming victims of fraud. Our consumer resource centers are located in Bellingham, Seattle, Tacoma and Vancouver.
Work in a Consumer Resource Center for 8 - 12 hours a week generally with a minimum commitment for 6 months. Basic computer experience a requirement. This opportunity is sponsored by: Attorney General's Office - Washington State

The Consumer Protection Division's largest office is located in the Bank of America Fifh Avenue Plaza at 5th and Marion in downtown Seattle. When traveling north on I-5 take the Senceca St (#165)exit and traveling south on I-5 take the Columbia/James St (165A) exit.
