ESL Tutors needed for multicultural classes that include Korean, Vietnamese and Russian speaking immigrants. You can choose to work with beginning, mid-level or advanced students.

LOCATION & TIMES
These opportunities are available in Shoreline at the Paramount building at NE 145th Street and the the Northridge building at NE 177th Street.

Groups meet twice a week for 1.5 hours each class. Days and times are flexible within the time frame of 10am-9pm Monday through Friday.

No experience needed, only a genuine interest in helping refugees and immigrants to learn English and become more self-sufficient.

TRAINING & INSTRUCTION
Tutors receive a pre-service training in English language instruction techniques. Tutors will also receive continued support with lessons plans, specifically with the Washington State EL/Civics instruction standards.

Group Instructors base their ESL lessons on field trips (anything from a walk to a nearby grocery store to a visit to the art museum) and community-involvement projects.
