 Pacific Science Center is currently accepting applications to be a volunteer for our Lucy’s Legacy exhibit. Volunteers will interpret in varies areas of the exhibit and assist visitors as they explore Ethiopian artifacts, interpretive displays about paleontology and see and learn about Lucy. Volunteers will receive training in all areas of the exhibit, and will have the opportunity to work in various areas throughout their shifts. When volunteering for Lucy’s Legacy, volunteers will be provided with parking or bus tokens. Volunteers will receive one set of passes to the exhibit for the run. They will also receive a set of passes for our regular exhibits, IMAX and Laser shows. Volunteers will receive a discount is our Café and Gift Stores.
Volunteer must be 18 years or older, clear a multi-state background check, and fill out a Disclosure form. Once your application is processed, you will be contacted about an interview. Volunteers will be asked to commit to volunteering for two five-hour shifts a month, or roughly 80 hours during the run of the exhibit. Applications for the 1st and 2nd training sessions are due on August 15th and September 1st. We will have an additional training in late October or early November.
