 Are you fluent in English? Do you enjoy cross-cultural experience? Do you have time to give? We are looking for volunteers for one-to-one and/or small group ESL tutoring sessions at the YWCA Career Center in Auburn. Students will meet during daytime hours for two 1.5 hr sessions a week. The St. James ESL Program is a non-sectarian, volunteer and community-based organization that provides free English instruction to adult refugees and low-income immigrants in Seattle and King County.
You won't need to have previous teaching experience or knowledge of a foreign language: We'll provide a training on English language instruction techniques and lesson planning beforehand. We do ask that you be available for a period of at least 6 months. This opportunity is sponsored by: St. James ESL Program
