Volunteer at the Washington Park Arboretum Working to protect our Environment

Volunteering is a great way to meet new friends, earn community service credits, protect your local environment, and help maintain and enhance one of the Pacific Northwest’s great treasures; Washington Park Arboretum.

Opportunities include:

  • Helping your community maintain the grounds and plant collections in the Washington Park Arboretum by participating in weeding parties and other activities. A great way to protect the environment!

  • Assisting with special projects and events. Cashiers, setup and clean up volunteers, hold area attendants, and other section volunteers are always in demand.

  • Joining the Pat Calvert Greenhouse or Plant Donations Nursery volunteers for propagation and potting of plants and plant sales.

  • Working in the Arboretum Gift Shop.

Arboretum Foundation volunteers choose their own level of involvement and interest. Training sessions are offered for many of the activities being offered. Requirements vary according to the nature of the volunteer activity. The minimum age for this opportunity is 14 years and older.
