GMVCC Youth Center "The DEN" is now open after school until 7:00 pm Tuesday - Thursday and until 10:00 pm on Friday and Saturday. Volunteers being recruited with time and talents (arts, crafts, etc.)conduct a workshop, computer class, or teach other skills, while providing a positive adult role model. Make a difference as a mentor. This is a service-learning opportunity. Volunteers should have patience, enthusiasm and some experience working with middle school - Junior High youth. Must pass Washington State criminal history back ground check. The minimum age for this opportunity is 18 years and older. This opportunity is sponsored by: Greater Maple Valley Community Center

From Renton: Take Hwy 169 (South) from Hwy 405 approximately 12 miles. Upon entering Maple Valley, take a right at the 4th stoplight onto Witte Road. Go 8/10ths of a mile, past Lake Wilderness Elementary School to 248th Street. Turn left on 248th then first driveway on the left.
From Kent: Take SE 272nd (Kent Kangley) to Witte Road. Follow Witte past Lake Willderness Golf Course. Turn right onto 248th St, then left into first driveway.
