Are you interested in the excitement of working for a young and growing organization? Are you passionate about the environment and exploring new ways to make a difference? Are you excited about how the internet reaches out with new models of commerce? If you answer yes to the above, Eco Encore may be the perfect fit for you. We are seeking volunteers to help Eco Encore expand its impact throughout the Puget Sound region and beyond. Eco Encore’s Mission Eco Encore generates financial support for environmental organizations in the Northwest while promoting the reuse of books, CDs, DVDs and software. Our system literally turns used goods into financial contributions that help fuel the environmental movement. To find out more about who we are, how we operate, and who we partner with, go to www.ecoencore.org. Volunteer Opportunities with Eco Encore We are only a staff of two, so we need help with a variety of projects. Most importantly, we need volunteers for sorting and cataloging donated materials. Book and music lovers will enjoy sorting through the diverse items that are donated, and it’s a great way to learn about e-commerce. We also need volunteers who can help us to move our inventory – rejected items are taken to various locations like Half Price Books, and new items often need to be picked up from donation bin locations. People who are able to volunteer with us on a regular basis may also be able to get involved in various outreach activities on behalf of Eco Encore – researching advertising opportunities, identifying and attending special events, assisting with the creation of outreach materials, and maintaining the website. Volunteer opportunities are available immediately, and we’d love to hear from you! Please contact Sara McCabe, Operations Manager at sara@ecoencore.org or 206-297-6995 for more information.
It is easy to learn how to use our system if you have basic Internet navigation skills. The minimum age for this opportunity is 18 years and older. This opportunity is sponsored by: Eco Encore
