Food Bank Delivery Volunteer for Capitol Hill Food Bank

The Morris Polack food bank is looking for regular volunteers to help with delivering food at our Capitol Hill food bank. Weekly deliveries Mondays from 1-3 pm. Our food bank staffperson drives the van, and you help load and then deliver bags of groceries to client apartments along with staff. You'll be able to help us serve low income neighbors who are not able to get to the food bank, and have a good time too.

An application is required, and there is some training and orientation before you begin. Volunteers must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. The minimum age for this opportunity is 15 years and older.

 Seattle Office is located at the corner of 16th and Pine Street on Capitol Hill. Madison runs diagonally across this corner, so the office can be reached from any of the three streets. The JFS Refugee and Immigrant Service Centers in Bellevue and Kent are additional sites for volunteers, and are located at 15821 NE 8th in Bellevue, and 1209 Central Avenue S in Kent.
