The mission of the Friends Program is to strengthen communities by building relationships that empower people, encourage community service, and restore faith in the human spirit.
Description:
The Interfaith Caregiver Program (ICP) is a volunteer program, designed and implemented in collaboration with local faith-based organizations, that helps older adults, and people living with disabilities, remain living independently in their own homes and community, able to maintain their sense of worth and dignity. Volunteers provide support, assistance and referral in response to the growing needs of older adults who struggle to remain living independently in the community. Caregiving includes assisting with a variety of simple every day tasks such as transportation, home repairs, grocery shopping, errands, companionship, and respite.
