PlusTime NH is a non profit organization whose mission is to provide the guidance, leadership, and support essential to create, improve, and sustain afterschool programs in NH communities.
Description:
We make afterschool happen throughout the state of NH!! Afterschool programs inspire learning, help working families, and keep kids safe!!
PlusTime NH helps communities throughout the state identify the needs of youth and mobilize local resources to develop and sustain quality afterschool programs. PlusTime NH also supports existing youth programs through training, consultation, and funding.
One of our most valued resources is our National Service Program. Through this program, we are able to place qualified A*VISTA and AmeriCorps Members in afterschool programs and organizations throughout New Hampshire. These A*VISTA and AmeriCorps are key players in sustaining these programs, and in making the programs more accessible and/or attractive to local families and youth.
History:
PlusTime NH was established over a decade ago with a grant from the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services in response to the increasing problem of unsupervised youth and the limited resources available for communities to start out-of-school time programs.
