Our goals are prevent cruelty to all animals, protect abused and abandoned animals, educate the public regarding proper and responsible treatment of animals, care for and find homes for unwanted pets.
Description:
All surrendered and stray animals are sheltered until claimed, fostered or adopted. At our shelter, we provide daily routine care and veterinary attention when needed. We assess each animal prior to placement. Our staff is trained to council potential adopters on their choice of a companion animal. Our goal is to help them adopt a pet who will match their lifestyle, family and be their companion forever.
History:
Our agency was founded in 1910 to serve the community with the primary purpose of protecting animals. We have now grown to shelter approximately 1600 homeless animals each year within the Merrimack County area.
