The Museum relies upon admissions fees, memberships, grants, and donations to fund its mission of preserving the heritage of The Kennebunks.

Description:
Each year the Museum mounts 2-3 major exhibitions, maintains a comprehensive membership program, runs an Annual Fund campaign, develops multiple fund raising events, assists with research inquiries, and offers several educational outreach initiatives, walking tours, and field trips.

History:
The Brick Store Museum was founded in 1936 by Edith Cleaves Barry as a repository for her family's local history collection. It is located in five nineteenth century buildings in the heart of Kennebunk's National Register Historic District.
