Position title: Advisory Council Member
Description: The purpose of the RSVP Advisory Council shall be to advise and assist the Aroostook Agency on Aging (AAA) and RSVP staff to:

-- Identify specific problem areas and social concerns affecting the health and well-being of citizens and serve as a force and source for community action of citizen needs, assist in formulating local policy, planning and developing operational procedures consistent with operational practices;

-- Identify service area priorities to impact on specific problem areas in the region, determine personnel actions affecting volunteers, and assist in developing local financial and in-kind support;

-- Develop communication between RSVP and the public by disseminating RSVP project information and obtaining input on citizen reaction;

-- Evaluate the RSVP program, its activities and make recommendations for change and/or improvements;

-- Formulate, implement and follow-up long range planning.

Qualifications:
An interest in RSVP and a commitment to senior volunteerism. Available time.

Tenure:
One three (3) year term.

Advisory Council Chairperson, RSVP Director and/or Sponsor.
