If you live outside the New River Valley-Virginia Tech community, enter the zip code of the community where you live in the United States. The volunteer opportunities listed closest to where you live will be listed.
The goal for the Virginia Tech Community: sign up for and perform 300,000 hours of community service by the end of the spring semester. The goal for Virginia Tech alumni: pledge and perform 300,000 hours of community service by the end of the spring semester. they have. Our web site instantly and automatically returns them a
list of the volunteer opportunities that best fit their profile. The
volunteer will then read through the descriptions and pick an
opportunity that is of interest. The volunteer has all the information
to contact your agency and from there it's up to
them to call and up to you to answer.
Can I Search for Volunteers Directly?
Though we are often asked, we do not support this option. You have
a number of ways to post information with us, but then you must wait
for the volunteers to contact you. Please contact your local Volunteer Center to
see if they have a program that supports this option.
