Virginia Tech has announced a new initiative called VT-ENGAGE (www.engage.vt.edu) to honor the victims of April 16, 2007 and their commitment to service worldwide and reaffirm its commitment to its motto, Ut Prosim (That I May Serve). You can use Volunteer Solutions to post the volunteer needs of your group or to find volunteer opportunities. If you live outside the New River Valley-Virginia Tech community, enter the zip code of the community where you live in the United States. The volunteer opportunities listed closest to where you live will be listed.
The goal for the Virginia Tech Community: sign up for and perform 300,000 hours of community service by the end of the spring semester. The goal for Virginia Tech alumni: pledge and perform 300,000 hours of community service by the end of the spring semester. Those wishing to volunteer can pledge their hours on Virginia Tech's VT Engage website, (www.engage.vt.edu). |
