Virginia Tech created a new volunteer program called VT-ENGAGE to encourage volunteerism and enhance the relationship and partnership efforts between the university and the community.

United Way and VT-Engage are community partners in an effort to match volunteers with organizations needing volunteer help by utilizing an online system called Volunteer Solutions.  You can use Volunteer Solutions to find volunteer opportunities and/or post the volunteer needs of your group.

Volunteers: We encourage you to register and complete a volunteer profile so you can receive email alerts about opportunities you would like. Click here to register.

Non-Profits: Register your group's volunteer and donation needs so you can receive email alerts about matches to help you. Agencies and organizations, click here to register.

VT-ENGAGE reaffirms Virginia Tech's commitment to service worldwide and helps people actively live out its motto, Ut Prosim, That I May Serve – established in 1896.

Musica Viva focuses on the promotion and awareness of the arts in general; specifically, the appreciation of chamber music. As part of Musica Viva's outreach mission we strive to bring chamber music into our local schools and our concerts into other geographically distant communities in Southwest Virginia.

Description:
Under the artistic direction of violinist David Ehrlich, Musica Viva was organized to promote awareness of and appreciation of chamber music specifically and the arts in general. Musica Viva was created with the recognition that acess to the arts in their many manifestations is universally cited as central to the quality of life in a community. Founded in 2001, Musica Viva has been providing chamber music performances by internationally-acclaimed musicians.
