Virginia Tech created a new volunteer program called VT-ENGAGE to encourage volunteerism and enhance the relationship and partnership efforts between the university and the community.

United Way and VT-Engage are community partners in an effort to match volunteers with organizations needing volunteer help by utilizing an online system called Volunteer Solutions.  You can use Volunteer Solutions to find volunteer opportunities and/or post the volunteer needs of your group.

Volunteers: We encourage you to register and complete a volunteer profile so you can receive email alerts about opportunities you would like. Click here to register.

Non-Profits: Register your group's volunteer and donation needs so you can receive email alerts about matches to help you. Agencies and organizations, click here to register.

VT-ENGAGE reaffirms Virginia Tech's commitment to service worldwide and helps people actively live out its motto, Ut Prosim, That I May Serve – established in 1896.

The Jacksonville Center for the Arts showcases, facilitates, and educates in support of artistic endeavors, craft traditions, and creativity for all in our community and region.

Description:
As a non-profit arts facility, The Jacksonville Center is dedicated to providing an accessible, welcoming and engaging venue for all. WE offers educational experiences in an array of mediums, including blacksmithing, pottery and glass, as well as book arts and papermaking, printmaking, and two-dimensional arts. Our Hayloft Gallery showcases the creativity of people in the community with new shows every two months. Artists work in our on-site studios, and sell their work in our handicraft gift shop. Our community room offers space for community and special events, conferences, and custom educational experiences.
