Seeking volunteers to mentor prenatal and first time moms in the Meriden and Wallingford area. Nurturing Connections Program is through the Community Health Center Inc. of Meriden. The program is designed to provide support and education to new parents during a very overwhelming time and to help new parents meet the challenges ahead of them. The goal of Nurturing Connections is to help parents make a positive transition to the lifetime commitment of parenthood. Volunteers are asked to mentor new parents by phone once a week for a period of three to six months. Volunteers must attend a brief training before starting the phone calls. This opportunity is sponsored by: Nurturing Families Network-Nurturing Connections
