Girl Scouting builds girls of Courage, Confidence and Character, who make the world a better place.
Description:
Girl Scouts is the world's preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls - all girls - where, in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real world. In partnership with committed adults, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives - like strong values, a social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth.
History:
Founded in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low, Girl Scouts has grown from 18 members in Savannah, GA to 3.6 million members throughout the U.S. In Whitfield County we are currently serving every school in the area. We have a variety of programs that range from traditional long term troops to short term program troops being served in an outreach capacity.
