Raisin Woods Mountain Bike Park is a project of the Northwest Georgia Chapter of the Southern Off-road Bicycling Association ( NWGA SORBA ). The City of Dalton has partnered with NWGA SORBA to develop this trail. This trail is built for beginner mountain bikers, but it also offers a challenging section for intermediate riders. Although the trail is used primarily for mountain biking, we welcome hikers and runners to use the trails. We have received a grant to build additional an additional 3 miles of trail, build bathrooms and parking lot. The trail additions are rough cut using dozers and box scraper. We now need volunteers to help clean up and do finish work on the trail.
Bring work gloves. We will have a trail crew leader explain task that needs to be done. Mostly moving dirt off the trail, removing roots, removing / trimming brush. If you have experience using a chainsaw, we could use your skill chopping up the trees that were taken down during trail construction. This opportunity is sponsored by: NWGA SORBA
We need volunteers who are free at these times
