This Program is a faith based initiative to reduce the number of infant deaths in our community, due to "co-sleeping." It provides parents with a safe place for their newborn to three month old baby to sleep. In Bay County there have been 3 infant deaths due to parents sleeping with their infants and smothering/killing their babies in the last few months ALONE. We are needing help with the production of these "baskets/beds" for the infant. We need sewers and materials. A volunteer would need to be able to sew the skirt that goes around the basket. But, anyone can try to help get the bins used for the baskets. This opportunity is sponsored by: Bay, Franklin, Gulf Healthy Start Coalition, Inc.
We need volunteers who are free at these times
