The "Power Hour" Tutor is an ongoing volunteer opportunity to help Club kids with their homework. The volunteer comes to a Club site on a regular basis (weekly or monthly) to assist children/youth in completing their daily homework assignments, reading with/to them, or engaging in educational games. The volunteer will have both one-on-one and small group opportunities during Power Hour. The goal of Power Hour is to enable youth to become proficient in basic educational disciplines. Volunteers are screened for past criminal or child abuse offenses. Orientation is provided prior to beginning volunteer activity and supervision is provided ongoing. This opportunity is sponsored by: Boys & Girls Clubs Of Central Iowa (BGCCI)
