Mentoring a child is one of the most rewarding opportunities available. 30 minutes a week can and does make a difference in a child's life. You may be asked to assist with homework, create an art project together, read or simply spend time with a child. A recent study shows that children with people around them that demonstrate limits, show how to do things right by the way they do things, want them to learn, trust and love them, no matter what and help them when they are in danger, sick or need to learn, overcome adversities and draw from these people strength and knowledge.
