To repair or replace substandard housing in the City of Williamsburg, James City County, and York County, Virginia. Our unique strength is the formation of true partnership between communities, volunteers and our neighbors in need to achieve the goal of safe, warm and dry housing.
Description:
Volunteers are an essential part of our organization. With the use of volunteers it allows us to keep the cost of emergncy home repairs to a minimum cost. We are looking for volunteers with the skills of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, drywall, painting, tile work, flooring, roofing and heating and cooling are needed. Special group projects are available for church outreach groups, civic groups, clubs, neighborhood association, and team sports. You do not need to have construction experience to volunteer with us. We will always have a "skilled" project manager with each group or individual volunteer.
History:
Housing Partnerships, Inc has been keeping local familes "safe, warm, and dry" since 1985. Over the past 21 years, HPI has completed 1318 home repairs and provided 26 ownerships opportunities to low-income families.
