Our goal is to provide victims of crime with options, support, advocacy and safety so that they may live in an environment free of fear from violence.
Description:
We provide 24 hour crisis intervention services to victims of crime. We also provide support, options, safety planning, shelter arrangement, referrals, support & advocacy during medical exams, support and advocacy during law enforcement interviews, criminal justice advocacy, assistance with Orders for Protection and Harassment Restraining Orders.
History:
Crime Victims Resource Center was established on October 3, 1977. A group of community members were concerned about the lack of services available to victims of crime. Domestic Abuse victims were their primary focus at that time. We have expanded our services to include all crimes, i.e. sexual assault, sexual abuse, burglary, harassment, stalking, vandalism, etc. We provide services 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
