The Mission of St. Paul's Community Development Corporation is to serve as an agent of hope, partnering with the community to improve the basic quality of life in Paterson as well as empowering its participants to become self-sufficient members of the community at large.

Description:
At St. Paul's Community Development Corporation, we live by our motto "Hope for Today... Building for Tomorrow". Everyday we strive to address the social and economic needs of the community within Paterson, New Jersey.

St. Paul's CDC helps families and individuals achieve economic self-sufficiency by improving their abilities, expanding their options, and overcoming obstacles.

We at St. Paul's CDC are dedicated to alleviating homelessness, hunger, unemployment, poverty, illiteracy, and spiritual alienation in the city of Paterson, New Jersey and surrounding communities.

History:
St. Paul's CDC was founded in 1990 as a non-profit, non-sectarian, 501(c)3 organization, and now serves the Paterson, New Jersey community in the following ways:

-Food Pantry (since 1970)
-Men's Shelter (since 1984)
-Next Step Adult Education (since 1990)
-Transitional Housing (since 1991)
-Housing and Neighborhood Development (since 1994)
-Partnerships for Healthy Living (since 1996)
-AmeriCorps Program (since 1997)
-Next Step Case Management/Employment Placement
(since 1999)
-Next Step Post-TANF (since 2000)
