Our mission is to help adults improve their reading and writing skills so that they perceive positive impact on their lives in such areas as self-esteem, employment, family life, and community involvement.

Description:
Our agency provides free one to one tutoring to any English speaking adult needing help with their reading. All of our tutors are volunteers and we provide the tutors with training before being placed with a student.

History:
Since 1984, the Library's Reading Program has helped thousands of Ventura County adults achieve personal literacy goals. We have been recognized as one of the top community based literacy programs in California.
