KidSafe is a partnership of organizations and individuals working together to improve our community's response to child abuse and neglect by improving systems and strengthening supports for children and families. We strive to improve child safety by working with many public and private organizations, maximizing the effectiveness of coordinated services for children and families.

Description:
We are a small office with significant ties to many partner agencies with whom we work. We coordinate and convene child protective teams for Chittenden County. We coordinate the monthly KidSafe Council of over 30 public and private organizations addressing community change to the services and systems that respond to child abuse and neglect. We provide referrals regarding child abuse and neglect. In addition to our work with families in helping to keep children safe, we are a central source and communicator on community concerns about child abuse and neglect. We provide training to Mandatory Reporters and produced a Training video and Toolkit for Mandatory Reporters of child abuse and neglect that has been distributed statewide.
