The mission of Connor Moran Children's Cancer Foundation is to improve the quality of life, strengthen, and stabilize local families affected by cancer.
Description:
Connor Moran CCF provides free services to the the cancer patient and their family from the time of diagnosis, through treatment, and beyond. Emotional, informational, academic, and financial support are designed to lighten a family's burdens, lift their isolation, and educate their treatment decisions. One of the most important things we do is to provide quality family time! Outings and activities are planned every month for our families to help them forget about cancer for a little while. Our client population is primarily children diagnosed with cancer, and then adult cancer patients and their children/family members.
History:
Connor Moran was a boy who, who at 22 months, lost his battle with a cancerous brain tumor. In his memory, his mother Teri Moran, started the Foundation in an effort to embrace other families facing the harsh reality and difficult treatment of cancer and serious illness, and the changes they bring to self and family.
