Feline Friends is a 100% volunteer, non-profit, 501c3 organization. Our purpose is to uphold and strengthen our portion of the "safety net." This net is the No Kill-No More Homeless Pets movement that is slowly but surely spreading across our nation. We strive to put an end to the killing of adoptable healthy cats in our area by facilitating sterilization, increasing education, and doing adoptions.
We assist the local feral cat population by educating the public about the trap-neuter-return solution advocated by Alley Cat Allies.
Finally, there are the adoptions. These are done seven days a week, by appointment, out of our adoption center/shelter. Our facility is everything a cat shelter should be. It is clean, tranquil and fun.
We truly believe that we are better at what we do than anyone else in our area. The evidence of this can be clearly seen in the eyes of every one of our cats. They're happy! We invite you to come see for yourself.
We are funded entirely by private donations and small grants.

History:
In 1998, nine cats in need of rescue made there way to our current director, Cindy Weber and our former co-director, Nicole Contino. They decided to commit to providing these cats with veterinary care and finding them homes. Of course many other cats then began to flock to them as well as they, too, were in need of rescue. A fellow cat lover and local businessman offered them a small office space in an industrial area of Boca Raton. They were able to shelter kitties in this space rent-free for the first year and a half. Then the building was sold. In order to continue their mission, they joined forces with a larger humane society and became the Feline Division. They rented a store front in a strip mall in Deerfield Beach that was at that time called Wolfie’s Plaza. They did survive but they didn’t prosper so in 2001, they broke off on their own and became, Feline Friends, Inc. Feline Friends remained there for five years. Almost four years ago they once again relocated to downtown Deerfield Beach where they now provide shelter for approximately 75 cats and even have a small office next door.
