Description:
Community Concepts is the community action agency (CAP) serving Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties. We provide transportation services for Mainecare recipients, low-income rental housing, Head Start in Franklin and Oxford counties, Section 8 vouchers, family counseling, alcohol and substance abuse counseling, childcare information, childcare referrals and childcare vouchers, heating assistance and weatherization services.
History:
Community Concepts was founded in 1965. Our first program was Oxford County Head Start. In the mid-1980's, Community Concepts merged with the Androscoggin CAP. Our current budget is approximately $34 million annually and we employ over 425 people throughout the 3 counties.
