To provide a radio voice to and for the people of Valparaiso.
Description:
WVLP-LP is a Low Power Community Radio Station with a broadcast area reaching the Greater Valparaiso area. Our focus is on locally produced talk and music programs that provide a uniquely local Valparaiso identity.
History:
We are a Project of Neighbors Corporation and began broadcast in September of 2002 after receiving our Low Power license from the FCC. WVLP-LP was a grassroots project, initiated by a few dedicated community members that were interested in providing a voice to Valparaiso that was unique from Corporate influenced media sources, provided local perspectives and covered local issues, and developed a strong sense of community in Valparaiso.
